Kitchen Preparations - Strawbale House Build in Redmond Western Australia

We used the kitchen to practice gyprock flushing, since imperfections there will not matter much. Sure enough, we used too much basecoat and found it hard to sand back. We used some topcoat to make rough texture for the parts of the wall that won't be covered by tiling and cabinetry. Together with texture paint, it will hopefully produce a rustic feel and complement the adjoining strawbale and tumbled brick walls. In this photo, Sue is priming.
